ESDR has been a catalyst to bring together number of law professors specializing in socio-economic rights. It provides in-depth and extensive curriculum developed by experts in various aspects of socio-economic and development rights, good governance, business and human rights. This year, KSL hosted the 14th edition of ESDR, 2019 on the theme, ‘Harmonizing Foreign Investment with Economic Social and Development Rights’ from 28th December, 2019-17th January, 2020 at the outreach campus in Namobuddha, Kavre, Nepal. The 14th ESDR had 48 participants from 6 different countries.

Awards:

The ESDR Fellow Award, 2019 was awarded to Mr. Tatenda Leopold Chakanyuka from Wuhan University. Mr. Sanchit Singh from Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, India and Ms. Shraddha Khanal from Kathmandu School of Law received the ESDR Academic Excellence Award, 2019. The Best Research Paper Award was awarded to Ms. Yang Rui from Northwest University of Political Science, China and the Enthusiastic Learner Award was awarded to Mr. Shashwot Kandel from Kathmandu School of Law.
