CTTAP organized a webinar on the theme ‘Challenges to Right to Health of Chronic Patients’. The program focused on unveiling the situation of chronic health patients during the lockdown imposed to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic. The main objective of the program was to highlight the condition of access to health facilities (specially concerning the patients of chronic diseases such as kidney patient, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, pregnant women etc.) through the lens of human rights. It also focused on the responsibilities of concerned authorities and other stakeholders with regards to the very issue. Prof. Geeta Pathak Sangroula, human rights expert; SSP Bhim Prasad Dhakal, Nepal Traffic Police; Deputy Mayor Anjana Devi Maadhikarmi and Dr. Sujit Shrestha Neon Health Clinic, Nepal facilitated as resource persons for the webinar.
