Biography

Mr. Anil Kumar Shrestha is Associate Professor at Kathmandu School of Law and had completed both graduation and Master degree from the very institution. He is teaching subjects including Advanced Jurisprudence; Legislative Principles and Law-Making Process; and Law against Organized Crimes. He is also engaged with various Community activities. He was elected as the President of Drinking Water Supply Consumers Group. He is also member of Subject Committee of Law and Journalism (Secondary Education) under Curriculum Development Centre, Nepal. Apart from this, he has been engaged in various academic researches and Baseline survey of Criminal Justice System and Juvenile Justice System and has been writing for journals and National dailies.
Because of his outstanding performance in the field of Law and Justice, he was awarded as The Outstanding Youth of Nation in 2014 (TOYN) by Nepal Jaycees. Similarly, as Law Student he was awarded as Best Law Student of the Year by Nepalese Law Students Association (NeLSA). Meanwhile, Legislative Process Fellowship, 2012 was offered by the Department of State, Washington, USA for his dedicated works on youth empowerment and leadership performance. He was awarded with Prof. K.A.A. Quamruddin Memorial Best Fellowship Trophy on 11th Human Right Summer School, 2010, Bangladesh Organized by Empowerment through Law of the Common People (ELCOP). He also practices Law as one of the co-founders and Senior Associate at The Advocate & Associates Legal Consultancy.
