Biography

Mr. Babu Raja Shakya is an Assistant Professor at Kathmandu School of Law and has completed both graduation and Master's degree in Criminal Law and Criminal justice system from the very institution and completed Master's degree in Applied Buddhism from Lumbini University. He is teaching subjects including Clinical Legal Education and Legal Drafting. He is also engaged in the Kathmandu School of Law Human Rights and Criminal Justice Clinic as a Clinical Attorney with various Community activities. Besides that, he is listed as a Mediator at Bhakhtpur District Court.  He was the Legal advisor of Lalitpur Drinking Water Supply and Entrepreneur Business Association and Election Officer of Business Professional Women Laghubitta Sansthan Ltd. He is also a member of the Forum for Nation Building (FNB Nepal). He is also a member of the Subject Committee of Criminology and Penology, BALLB (3rd and 4th Semester ) under Mid-western University, Birendranagar Curriculum Development Centre, He has been engaged in various academic research and Baseline survey of the Juvenile Justice System conducted by Kathmandu School of Law. He also practices Law as a founders and Senior Associate at Babu Law Associates Reg. no.2958
