Biography

Mr. Sachin Siwakoti is a B.A.LL. B graduate from Kathmandu school of Law. He is working as a teaching assistant and the coordinator for Center for Philosophical and Juristic Discourse (CPJD) at Kathmandu School of Law. He is also the president of Kathmandu Dialogue Alumni Association. He was the recipient of Best Research Paper award in the first iteration of The Katmandu Dialogue and holds a diploma in Economic Social and Development Rights from 10th iteration of KSL’s Flagship ESDR Winter Residential Program.  He is also the Associate student editor at Kathmandu School of Law Review. He has the experience of working in several research projects for Kathmandu School of Law and Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary affairs. He is working as a licensed Advocate, registered under Nepal Bar Council.

  1. Supreme Court Case Digest on ‘ Execution of International Law and Multilateral treaties’ for Ministry of Law , Justice and Parliamentary affairs (2017-2018)
  2. Review of ‘Labour Act, 2074 and its compliance with ILO standards’ for Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary affairs (2017-2018)
  3. Legality of Indian Blockade under International Law - Ministry of Home Affairs, Nepal (2015-2016) – through Kathmandu School of Law under Prof.(Dr.) Yubaraj Sangroula.

  1. Co-authored an article named “Selected regional developments in human rights and democratization in the Asia Pacific during 2017: ‘Diverse region with divergent stance’ in Global Campus Human Rights Journal , Volume 2 , No 1, European Inter-University , Center for Human Rights and Democratization.
  2. Authored article named “Discourse on Inclusive Cosmopolitanism in International Affairs: An Asian Perspective” in Culture and Dialogue, BRILL Publishers, Volume 7, Issue 2.   Published In conjunction with the UNESCO and International Research Group for Culture and Dialogue (IRGCD), National University of Ireland.
  3. Authored and presented a paper titled as “Realizing democracy through digital state governance: Prospects and Implications” in International Forum for Law School Students 2019 at Renmin Law School, Beijing, China
