Assoc. Prof. Sakila Chhetri is a Cambridge University certified English Language Teacher having a flair for teaching students in an interdisciplinary approach. She currently is a full-time Legal English faculty at Kathmandu School of Law (KSL). She is a law graduate holding a Master’s degree in English Literature. Besides, she is also a development practitioner possessing over a decade long hands-on experiences in development communication and project management specifically in the areas of anti-trafficking, access to justice, violence against women, peace-building and conflict transformation. She has produced a number of research and programmatic reports, proposals, strategic plans and other publications. She has also contributed to several published and unpublished research interventions and has received many national and international trainings namely Women’s Leadership in Development by Coady International Institute, St. Francis Xavier University, Canada; Peace Building and Conflict Transformation by Conflict Transformation Across Cultures (CONTACT) under School of International Training (SIT) Campus, Vermont, USA. In addition, she teaches several Cambridge courses like International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Cambridge Advanced English (CAE), and Cambridge English: First (FCE). She is also a founding member of Asian Association of Law Professors (AALP). Apart from teaching, she has been working as a team member under the project, “Strengthening democratic governance by providing policy research support”, being executed by Policy and Legal Research Center, KSL in the financial assistance of International Republican Institute, IRI-Nepal.
