It is with great shock and sadness; Kathmandu School of Law mourns the untimely passing away of Professor Christof Heyns. Prof. Heyns, a Professor of Human Rights Law, not only served as the United Nations Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions from 2010 to 2016 but was also a champion of human rights education. Prof. Geeta Pathak recommended as Amicus Curiae

Professor of Kathmandu School of Law and Senior Advocate Geeta Pathak has been nominated in the five-member Amicus Curiae by the Supreme Court Bar Association in the case under hearing at the Supreme Court over the dissolution of House of Representative. She is the first women amicus curiae ever recommended for constitutional bench. We congratulate her for the recommendation.
