Rubin Shrestha is an Assistant Professor at Kathmandu School of Law. He earned his Master’s Degree in Criminal Law and Justice (LL.M) and an integrated B.A.LL.B. from Purbanchal University, Nepal.
He has served as Coordinator for the Center for the Training of Trial Advocacy Professionalism (CTTAP) and as Program Coordinator for the B.A.LL.B. Fourth Year. His past engagements include work as a legal intern and student attorney at the Human Rights and Criminal Law and Justice Clinic (HRCJC), and as a Legal Officer at the High Court of Nepal (Tulsipur–Butwal Bench), where he supported free legal aid services. He also contributed as a researcher to the project Enhancing Good Governance and Human Rights Protection in Security Agencies and Criminal Justice Actors in Nepal (2014–2017), jointly carried out by Kathmandu School of Law and the Danish Institute for Human Rights.
Currently, Mr. Shrestha leads the Department of Information, Communication, and Student Welfare at Kathmandu School of Law, and serves as Assistant Program Coordinator for the Asia Pacific Master’s in Human Rights and Democratization Program, a global initiative in which Kathmandu School of Law is a founding partner.
