Rubin Shrestha is an Assistant Professor at the Kathmandu School of Law, with a Master's Degree in Criminal Law and Justice (LLM) from Purbanchal University in Nepal, and an integrated Bachelors in Law and Bachelor's in Arts (B.A.LL.B) Degree from the same institution. He previously served as coordinator for the Center for the Training of Trial Advocacy Professionalism (CTTAP), and is currently the B.A.LL.B Fourth Year Program coordinator, overseeing student bodies and organizations at the institution. Mr. Shrestha has been affiliated with various youth-led organizations, including the Nepalese Law Students' Association (NeLSA), Amnesty International Nepal - Fusion Youth Network, and Thinkers Society, among others, focusing on leadership, networking, and advocacy. He has also worked as a legal intern at the Human Rights and Criminal Law and Justice Clinic (HRCJC) and as a legal officer at the High Court of Nepal (Tulsipur - Butwal Bench), where he assisted in providing free legal aid to disadvantaged individuals.
Currently, he heads the Department of Information, Communication and Student Welfare, which focuses on facilitating communication between students and faculty and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, in liaison with the office of the Executive Director. Additionally, he is an assistant program coordinator for the Asia Pacific Masters in Human Rights and Democratization Program, of which the Kathmandu School of Law is a founding partner institution.
