Advocate Sudip Raj Ghimire is an Assistant Professor at Kathmandu School of Law (KSL), whose academic and professional trajectory is deeply tied to the institution. An alumnus of KSL, he earned both his B.A.LL.B., and Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business and International Trade Law from KSL. His core academic, research, and professional interests encompass Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Legislative Drafting, Health Laws, Public Procurement Law, and Anti-Corruption Laws.Mr. Ghimire’s service to KSL spans nearly a decade in progressive academic, administrative, and clinical roles. Mr. Ghimirehas been engaged in teaching Administrative Law, Electoral Law, Constitutional Law, and Legislative Drafting at KSL.Before his appointment as an Assistant Professor in 2024, he served KSL as a Teaching Assistant (2021–2024) and Research Assistant (2019–2021).
Complementing his academic foundation in business and international trade law, Mr. Ghimire brings extensive practical experience into the classroom. As an partner at Samarthya Legal Concern & Research Center Pvt. Ltd., he is actively engaged in litigation with over four years of experience handling high-stakes corruption, financial crime, and public law matters across all three tiers of courts in Nepal and before the Special Court. In addition to litigation, he is actively engaged in legislative drafting and law-making processes. Extending his legal expertise to institutional governance and specialized training, Mr. Ghimire serves as the Legal Advisor to Dhulikhel Hospital, holds an Executive/Founding role at the Forum for Medical & Health Care Lawyers, and delivers lectures to officers in the Masters in Police Science (MPS) program at the Nepal Police Staff College as a visiting faculty member as well.
