He holds a bachelor in Political Science from Tribhuvan University and M.A. from the University of Illinois, U.S.A. He has also taken a various course on Political Theory and Government, U.S. Foreign Policy, American Studies, Research Methodology, Human Rights and Humanitarian Laws, Social Works from different reputed Universities and Institutions in U.S.A., Philippines, Netherlands, India, UK etc.
He is Senior Visiting Professor, Central Department of Political Science, Central Campus, Kritipur, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal and also a Steering Committee member of one year Asia-Pacific Masters program on Human Rights and Democratisation (MHRD/APMA) and a visiting faculty at the Mahidol University, Bangkok. He is chief editor of Nepalese Journal of Political Science, Central Department of Political Science, Tribhuvan University and president of Political Science Association of Nepal.He has experience of serving in the National Human Right Commission as a member and also as the member of the National Monitoring Committee on Ceasefire Code of Conduct, 2006.
He also served as the President of Nepal University Teachers Association and Human Rights organization.
