Pradeep Pathak is Professor at Kathmandu School of Law and Coordinator of KSL Policy and Legal Research Center. He teaches Human Rights, Democracy, Environmental Law, Conservation Law, Journalism/Mass Communication and Media Law. He possesses experience of leading the organization in thematic areas related to human rights, democracy, conflict transformation, mass media and justice system. He has supervised over 100 researchers, research assistants and students in several research-based projects. Previously, he led several projects in the capacity of a Project Director, Research Coordinator, Program Coordinator and Program Manager. He has experience of working as Lead Consultant, Consultant, Subject Expert, Resource Person, Trainer and Facilitator in several projects. He is also the trainer of National Police Academy and Crime Investigation Detective School of the Nepal Police.
He is a law graduate and holds Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratization from the University of Sydney with distinction. He has additional Master's Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Besides, he is also the recipient of Fellowships for International Course on Result-Based Management awarded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has also received DANIDA Fellowship for International Course on Corruption, Human Rights and Access to Information organized by the Danish Institute for Human Rights. He has successfully completed the courses on Strategies for Team Effectiveness, Planning and Organizing, Making an Impact through Networking and Presentations, Self- awareness for Lifelong Learning under the Sydney Talent Program organized by the University of Sydney, Australia. He also worked as a TV Presenter, Production Coordinator and Script/Story Board Writer for 48 episodes of weekly TV Talk Shows and documentaries on National Television.
