Experiential Learning in Action – BALLB 2nd Year Educational Visit
As part of the Clinical Legal Education course, our BALLB 2nd year students recently undertook an insightful educational visit to various prisons within the Kathmandu Valley and Kavre.
During this visit, students engaged in meaningful interactions with prison authorities, including police officers and administrative staff. They observed firsthand the living conditions of inmates and accused individuals, as well as the overall infrastructure of the facilities.
This co-curricular activity was designed to deepen students’ understanding of human rights, access to justice, and the intricate connections between criminal law and psychology.
Such experiential learning initiatives not only bridge the gap between theory and practice but also prepare our future legal professionals to approach justice with empathy, knowledge, and integrity.
