Closing Ceremony of ESDR

The Closing Ceremony of the ESDR Residential School was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Geeta Sangroula, Prof. (Juris Doctor) Kenneth Gallant, Assoc. Prof. (Dr.) Amritha V. Shenoy, Senior Advocate Prem Bahadur Khadka, Assoc. Prof. Bhishma Sangroula, Prof. Binod Prasad Sharma, Retired Chief Judge of the High Court, along with KSL faculty members, staff, and ESDR participants.

In her welcome remarks, Prof. (Dr.) Geeta Pathak, Executive Director of Kathmandu School of Law, welcomed and acknowledged the presence of participants, organizers, faculty members and guests, and iterated that the completion of 17th international residential school on ESDR should be viewed not as a conclusion but as the first chapter of a continuing journey. She acknowledged the excellent performance of all participants and urged for future collaboration.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of Prof. (Juris Doctor) Kenneth Gallant, former Professor at the University of Arkansas William H. Bowen School of Law, as the Chief Guest. He expressed his gratitude for being associated with Kathmandu School of Law and extended his best wishes to the participants on the successful completion of the ESDR Residential School and future journey. 
The ceremony featured the final round of the speech competition, judged by Prof. (Juris Doctor) Kenneth Gallant, Assoc. Prof. (Dr.) Amritha V. Shenoy, and Assoc. Prof. Laxmi Bakhadyo. Diploma degrees were awarded to all participants, and special recognition was extended to rapporteurs, organizers, and volunteers. During the award distribution, Sara Naseer (Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan) received the “ESDR Fellow Award”, Deeksha GC (Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal) was honored with the “Outstanding Performance Award”, Kripa Maharjan (Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal) received the “Most Enthusiastic Learner Award”, and Saru Koirala (Bright Vision Law College, Nepal) was awarded the “Best Vlogger Award”. Ayesha Ahmed Ali was declared the winner and awarded with “Best Article Award".The event also included experience-sharing by participants.
The program concluded with closing remarks by Assoc. Prof. (Dr.) Amritha V. Shenoy, Program Coordinator of ESDR, who expressed gratitude to all the participants, organizers, volunteers and helping hands responsible for successful completion of 17th international residential school on ESDR. She recalled on all the memories shared throughout the 21 days and appreciated everyone for their time, commitment and efforts.
