Kathmandu School of Law has secured 9th position in the world's most prestigious Environmental Moot Court Competition, the 27th Annual Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition held from April 13 to 15 at the Stetson University College of Law, Florida.
The team consisting of Aakriti Khatri, Manasa Pradhan, and Richa Shrestha were ranked among the Top 10 finalist teams, leaving a prominent mark in Nepal's participation history at Stetson Law.
Richa Shrestha also won the award for the Seventh Best Oralist in the overall competition out of 60+ oralists.
The KSL team had previously won the 11th East Asian Regional Rounds held at Soongsil University, Korea, to qualify and gain a spot at the International Finals in Gulfport, Florida. They were up against 18 other law universities in the International Rounds, all of whom had qualified by winning their respective regional rounds.
The team extends heartfelt gratitude towards alumni Mr. Anuj Chand for his endearing supervision and counsel throughout the competition and Mr. Ashwin Kumar KC for his kind support and guidance. We are really thankful to both of the alumni for their continuous guidance and support from the beginning of our journey to the end and beyond that.
Consequently, the team hopes KSL students will garner new enthusiasm and fervor in international environmental moot court competitions.
