KSL Fest 2083: A Celebration of Law, Talent, and Togetherness

July 05, 2026

Kathmandu School of Law opened its gates to a day full of colour, music, and community as KSL Fest 2083 was successfully held on 20th Asar within the college premises. With over 800 participants, the festival stood as a vibrant reminder that KSL is not just an institution of law but it is also a home to creativity, enterprise, and friendship.

The food court was easily one of the fest's biggest draws, with around ten stalls representing a delightful spread of cultures and flavours. From the distinct taste of Mithila cuisine to the charm of Dharane aloo nimki, from chilled lemonade to sizzling sekuwa and freshly made waffles, the students behind these stalls kept the crowd well-fed and smiling all day long.

Adding to the entrepreneurial spirit, around 20 young student entrepreneurs from the college set up their own stalls, selling handmade crochet items, art and craft pieces, organically sourced ghee and tea, and much more. Even our teachers joined in the fun, setting up their own stalls and mingling with students in a wonderfully informal setting.

The fest also served as an important bridge between KSL and prospective students. Multiple admission and orientation corners were set up where plus two graduates could meet current freshers, alumni, and seniors from various fields; Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Business Law, and Environmental Law groups among them. Visitors also had the opportunity to interact with students who had received creative grants, and to learn more about the college's extra-curriculum directly from those living the KSL experience.

No fest is complete without games, and KSL Fest delivered plenty. Numerous game stalls kept students actively engaged throughout the day. Some tested their luck, others their wit in quiz challenges, and many enjoyed the simple thrill of knocking down a tower of cups for the win. Winners walked away with gift vouchers sponsored by brands like Ultima, New Mew, and various other restaurants and cafes around the city.

While the food stalls buzzed outside, G Hall came alive with the college's cultural program, where students from different academic years showcased their finest dance performances.

The evening built up to the ultimate highlight of the day: a concert featuring The Elements and Mankaa, both bands formed by KSL graduates, who delivered truly memorable performances for the crowd. Current students were not far behind, with the band Apashabdha, along with several solo artists and duos, rocking the stage and getting everyone up on their feet to dance and celebrate the evening away.

KSL Fest 2083 was a heartfelt reminder that our students are so much more than future lawyers. They are dancers, musicians, artists, and entrepreneurs. Teachers brought their children along and were seen thoroughly enjoying the day alongside students. A memory wall gave everyone the chance to leave a message and sign off, turning it into a keepsake of the day's shared joy.

The day wrapped up with a lucky draw, where one fortunate student walked away with a gift hamper from KSL and the added bonus of clicking pictures with the performing bands. The day had a perfect ending filled with community, culture, and celebration.

Here's to a successful KSL Fest, and to many more editions that will continue to bring out the very best of what our college community has to offer.
