Kathmandu School of Law, successfully completed seminar themed “Issue and Challenges in the Administration of Juvenile Justice System in Context of Nepal” consisting an eminent panel of Deputy Attorney General Sajeeb Raj Regmi, SSP Manoj KC, and Mr. Milan Dharel, Former Executive Director of the National Child Right Council.
The seminar, held on 12th October 2023 focused on reassessing the various facets of juvenile justice and promoting a fresh perspective on the matter, all while emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the relevant institutions.
The key points of discussion included conditions in juvenile detention facilities, access to legal representation, rehabilitation methods, and the necessity for updated legal frameworks.
The seminar concluded with a shared commitment to improving the juvenile justice system in a manner that prioritizes the welfare and rights of young delinquent while aligning with international standards.
